Are you preparing for your big day? The waiting is special and equally exciting. You know this is actually a once-in-a-lifetime event, so you have only one opportunity to capture those precious and unforgettable moments in the best way possible.
Posed photography often lacks genuine emotion. When you see the photos in the future, you may not relive the moments properly as they are created forcefully, not naturally.
Hello! I’m Robert Justynski, a renowned wedding photographer in Ireland. In this blog, I will share 6 tips for natural photos.
Let’s dive in!

What a Photographer Suggests to Help You Preserve Natural Wedding Photos
Don’t Forget to Share Your Requirements
Everyone is different and has unique needs and requirements, especially when it comes to wedding photography. Do you have any dream wedding photos in mind? Don’t forget to let your photographer know about it. As an experienced photographer, I always work closely with you to capture photos that you have dreamt of.
Focus on the Day, Not the Camera
With traditional posed photography, most bridegrooms often focused on the camera. As a result, they forget to enjoy their moments. If you want to get the most out of your big day, focus on your moments, rituals, and the surrounding people. Don’t worry about the camera! I will be there to capture your smiles, funny moments, and rituals that are actually natural.
Leave Time in the Schedule
Rushed timelines create stress, and stress shows in photos. I normally suggest leaving small gaps between parts of the day. This allows me to photograph natural interactions rather than pulling people around for quick, staged shots. A relaxed photo session actually gives you the time to enjoy and preserve the best possible wedding photos.
Choose Comfortable Outdoor Locations
In your wedding venue, there are many spots to capture your photos. Look for places that feel calm and open. Such as a quiet garden and a field near the venue. This often brings up another topic: how to prepare for wedding photography in Ireland. Knowing it is crucial to take your wedding photos to the next level.
Stop Worrying about Posing
Many couples tell me they are awkward in photos. That is very normal. I rarely ask people to pose perfectly. Most of the time, I simply give small directions like walking together or standing close. Then I step back and photograph what happens.
Stay Close to Each Other
This is important. During the couple portraits, you must be close to each other. I will suggest some ideas like talking to each other, taking a small walk, or laughing together. When you interact with each other instead of focusing on the camera, the photos look honest.
Natural wedding photos don’t come from perfect posing. They come from real moments, relaxed people, and a photographer who allows space for the day to unfold. All you need to do is enjoy your big day as much as you can and leave the photography work to me. Candid wedding photos are actually the best way to relive your big day even after years.
